Underground pipes and cables locating

I employed Westscan to locate underground pipes, cables etc of services to the villa prior to having groundworks done to underpin the house. They arrived promptly and did their work efficiently and thoroughly and cleaned up afterwards. The report with photos and diagrams was emailed to me and I was able to forward it on to the company doing the underpinning. I highly recommend Westscan to anyone needing these services.

Prompt & reliable underground utility locating

My partner and I are currently re-landscaping our front yard.

This involves removing approx. 200mm of topsoil in some areas, putting in new fences, and installing soakwells ( up to two metres in the ground - lots of hand digging - oh my aching back! ) and generally going deep into natural ground in quite a few areas.

We tried the well known national agency who in the past had provided helpful info re the services outside our fenceline, .but we needed more information on the positioning of pipes and cables underground in our property than they provide. ( one broken pipe can be extremely expensive, not to mention, inconvenient or even highly dangerous- think a gas main ) A quick search of the 'net and we found Westscan. So very glad we did

Tony from Westscan advised that one of their technicians ( is that what you call a man who reads complex scanning equipment, but also digs holes? ) could assist us in accurately locating the services concerned.

Jeff from Westscan promptly turned up with all his high tech scammers and proceeded to locate pipes, cables, and services- colour coding them and marking depths etc..

We were very impressed with this , but even more so, when Jeff went ahead and dug down ( sometimes up to 1.3 metres ) till he found the pipe or cable concerned. . One particularly busy area of our front yard ( with all manner of intersecting pipes ) looked like a hyperactive gopher had been let loose with a box of multi coloured spray cans.

To say we were impressed with Westscan is an understatement. Tony in the office was so helpful and Jeff ( the tech ) went well over and above what we expected
