Copper Water Pipes

Water leaks under driveways can soon turn into sink holes. Water leak detection is advised, and best conducted sooner than later.

Once the owners discovered via excessive water bill that their Kensington property had a leaking water pipe Westscan was contacted to assist.

The water pipes for the property located using EM scanning ran from the boundary meter to the rear shed with a ’T’ junction branching off to supply the house. The water piping material was identified to be copper piping.

With the water piping route mapped and approximate depths noted. Acoustic leak detection was started with assistance of controlled air injection.
The location of the water leak was found to be in the middle of the driveway under the pavers.
